At 1035 Hrs on March 3, 2011 a "Signal 12" structure fire on Valentine Ave and Rte 340 in Sparkill. A mutual aid alarm was transmitted and departments from Piermont and Tappan responded to the scene along with the South Orangetown Ambulance Corps. The fire was knocked down quickly, no civilians were injured one firefighter suffered a laceration from glass.
